As we have discussed, the Puyallup School Board will consider in February whether or not to move Mountain View and Northwood Elementary sixth graders to Edgemont Junior High next fall as part of a two-year plan to address continued enrollment growth in the district, prior to the September 2019 opening/expansion of several elementary schools as part of the voter-approved Bond Package. The Board will get enrollment projections and hear district recommendations for the possible move at their snow-delayed meeting scheduled for Tuesday, February 7 at the district offices (6:15pm, 302 2nd Street SE, Puyallup, WA 98372). The Board anticipates making a decision on the proposed move at the following School Board meeting at Edgemont Junior High School on Monday, February 27 (6:00pm, EJHS Commons).
Edgemont 6th Grade FAQ - DRAFT.DOCX
Additionally, attached to this story you will find a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document that the Mountain View/Northwood/Edgemont team has drafted. Many of the questions in the FAQ were generated by Mountain View and Northwood parents and staff at a January parent meeting and many of the answers have begun to form during a recent team visit to Ballou to observe the Zeiger/Ballou plan in action. More questions and answers will continue to be added to this list as we plan for a March parent/student meeting at Edgemont.
