Message from the Superintendent - March 10, 2017

TimGood Afternoon,

This next week, March 13-17, we have the opportunity to honor the work of our classified employees! We are so fortunate to be able to work as a team in support of the children of our community. Our classified employees do outstanding work in making sure our students arrive at school safely, they are fed and feel welcomed, they learn in an environment that is clean and well maintained, our students have the supplies and technology necessary to learn, and support in the classrooms and in the school offices is welcoming and kind. Please take a moment this next week to thank our classified employees for the very fine work they do in support of our children in Puyallup.

In Puyallup our children are performing very well academically, athletically, artistically, and creatively. Our graduation rates are at record highs for the fourth consecutive year. Our students are prepared to take advantage of  meaningful post-secondary opportunities in all manner of fields. Working together we do a great job of making certain that “each child” in Puyallup receives the instruction and support that is necessary, over their 13 year educational journey, to be ready for their future.

Thank you for the work you do in support of “each child”, and have a great “Classified Employees” week!

Dr. Timothy S. Yeomans, Superintendent
Puyallup School District
